Photo Ready Space
The museum is home to several historic and carefully curated aircraft that add a distinctive and timeless allure for couples and event space seekers. As you mingle amongst these giants of the sky, you'll be drawn into the fascinating world of aviation and its role in shaping Canada's development while providing a backdrop unlike any other.
A Setting Steeped in History
The history of aviation is closely tied to Canada’s development as a nation and to Calgary’s growth as a vibrant, international city. This museum expands and inspires visitors’ knowledge of the stories surrounding aviation’s role in immigration, oil and gas exploration, war and civilian pleasure travel. Imagine exchanging vows amidst carefully curated historic aircraft, each with its own tale to tell.
Versatile Space for Every Occasion
The Main Hangar itself is an artifact and the grounds offer versatile spaces to suit your needs. From the industrial charm of the Main Hangar to the rustic elegance of the Tent Hangar, each venue exudes its own unique atmosphere. There is also the ability to rent smaller meeting rooms that open up into one larger boardroom space.
If you like the Tent Hangar, you’ll want to choose your dates wisely as it is not temperature controlled. The majority of the ground in the tent is gravel so you’ll want to warn your guests about shoe choices.
Inside the Main Hangar the floors are all cement and the building is temperature controlled. They can remove two of the larger planes from the main hanger to create space for an indoor ceremony as well as a reception space. No need to worry about last minute weather changes ruining your ceremony plans! There is also a spacious room adjacent to the women’s bathrooms that can be used as a bridal suite.
Amenities including a prep kitchen, meeting rooms, and ample parking ensure your event logistics are easily executed. Your venue rental also includes banquet chairs and tables as well as set-up and take-down.
The museum is currently undergoing renovations to enhance the facility which is on schedule to be completed by May, 2024.
